Managing Director and founder of HS&V Hospitality Management, Craig has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, with extensive qualifications in Hotel Management including from Cornel University in the USA. After working in a variety of management positions with Southern Sun and Sun International in their flagship properties, he moved to Stellenbosch as opening General Manager of Spier. Here he oversaw the development and launch of what has become a world renowned wine estate, hotel and resort. As Managing Director of Louis Group Hotels, Spas & Vineyards Craig has been involved in the acquisition and transformation of the Group’s award winning luxury suite of boutique hotels, including the Devon Valley Hotel and SylvanVale Vineyards, Erinvale Estate Hotel and Spa (winner of the Best Luxury Hotel in South Africa) and Place on the Bay.
Meet the Team
Executive Head: Communications & Public Relations, with responsibility for all marketing communication, social media initiatives and e-marketing. Lynné has several qualifications related to the Hospitality Industry including Hotel Management, attained locally and in the UK. She started her career with the Southern Sun Group at the then Cape Sun Hotel as part of the team responsible to re-brand the hotel to an Inter-Continental Hotel. She moved to Sun Intentional in the mid 1990’s, thereafter in early 2000 she joined the Rezidor Group and held various key executive management positions. As part of their public relations and marketing team, she played an integral role in the initial brand awareness and brand development for the Rezidor Group in Southern Africa before joining the Louis Group Hotels, Spas & Vineyards in 2008.
Sales Manager: National & International, with responsibility for compiling, implementing and managing the sales strategy for all the hotels in the HS&V portfolio. Elfrida graduated from the Institute for Hospitality Training with an International Diploma in Hotel Management (Cum Laude). She joined The Devon Valley Hotel team in 2008 looking after reservations and marketing & sales plans. She remained a part of the HS&V Hospitality Management team to take responsibility for the managing and communication between the Local and International Sales Team and the hotels in 2011. Currently a member of Young Skål International she is a keen networker and enjoys finding innovative ways to drive business through the hotel doors.
Financial Controller for HS&V Hospitality Management, is responsible for maintaining all Accounting procedures, controls and forecasting, while coordinating and communicating with the various financial sections within the Group. She helps monitor, evaluate, and reinforce a strong financial foundation. Having completed her diploma studies in 1992, with further study through UNISA, Laura joined Erinvale Hotel and Spa in 2002 transferring to The Louis Group of Hotels, Spas & Vineyards during their takeover in 2007. She draws on 20 years of experience gained in Engineering, Agricultural and Hotel financial environments.
Executive Head: Business Optimisation, with responsibility for maximising hotel revenues and implementing business optimisation strategies. Nicorine graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2004, and has obtained numerous qualifications in Business Management and as a Certified Revenue Management Executive. She started her career with Protea Hotels and there after joined The Devon Valley Hotel as Marketing & Pricing Coordinator. When the Louis Group Hotels Spas & Vineyards was established, Nicorine managed the Revenue, Sales and Marketing Departments as Group Revenue Manager. In 2012 Nicorine joined Preferred Hotels and Resorts as Revenue Account Manager for India, Middle East and Africa providing revenue and online distribution support to multiple hotels and gaining international experience in revenue management.
